Volunteers were paged at 1140 in refernce to a report of an exhausted hiker in Catalina State Park. A 50 year old male subject had gone for a hike on the Romero Trail when he suffered a minor ankle injury and became dehydrated and exhausted and help was summoned. Rescue personnel reached his position approximately 4 miles up trail and escorted him out of the field when he refused Stokes assistance. Towards then end of the evacuation, the subject was persuaded to accept a horseback ride and everyone was out of the field by approximately 0100 on the 18th.
