Tracy Kranz, Dog Handler
Powder (Queensland Heeler), Retired K-9 in Air Scent

Tracy and Powder have been with SRDI since December 2000. Tracy has been involved in search and rescue for most of her life, as both of her parents are also members of SRDI. Powder was born in October 1997 and was rescued from a pound in Montana. Tracy and Powder began training in Avalanche search and rescue while living in Montana, but returned to Tucson in 2000 and switched into Tracking/Trailing. Powder decided that he really liked the game of hide and seek, and with his ability to work well off-leash and a great bond with his handler, it was decided that he would be better as an Air Scent dog. So Powder began his career as a happy-go-lucky Air Scent dog with no regrets and lots of adventures. They worked together for seven years.Tracy is now a candidate for the Tucson Police Dept.
